My woodburning journey started when I was a kid. I wasn’t able to get the hang of it at the time, so I put the woodburning pen down and left it on the back burner. The second time I picked up the woodburning pen was in 2022 at a crafting convention and haven't been able to put it down since. I love burning flowers, insects, and animals. The largest piece, and one I am most proud of burning, is a commissioned work of art of two Eastern Screech Owls. I love woodburning life-like art and adding color with paint or colored pencils. One of my favorite things to do is burn texture into my pieces which adds a wonderful tactile aspect to my work. I’ve recently started making wood-burned jewelry, key chains, magnets, and ornaments. I rarely burn the same image twice, which makes all my designs unique and one-of-a-kind.
