1. Payment and Ordering
1.1 Submitting information to place an order
The customer is responsible to provide accurate and required information when submitting an order, including complete name, shipping and billing address, telephone number, valid e-mail address, and valid payment method. Lelu Makes is not responsible for mis-delivery due to incorrect information submitted by the customer.
1.2 Payment
Payment for any order must be made in full in advance at the time the order is placed. All major credit cards, Paypal and ApplePay are accepted methods of payment. Credit card payments are processed through Stripe.
1.3 Sales Tax
Taxes will be applied in accordance with your shipping or billing address.
1.4 Order changes
It is not possible to change your order once it has been placed and mailed out to you. The only exception is the delivery address, which can be changed if your order has not yet been shipped. To change the address for an unshipped order, please contact Nichole at dragonflylelu@gmail.com.
1.5 Color Matching
You acknowledge and understand that wood colors may vary slightly in person than from your computer or mobile screen. We are not responsible for this color variation issue. No guarantee is made that any image as seen online will necessarily match exactly the colors on the final product.
1.6 Commissioned artwork
All custom and commissioned artwork is paid in full in advance of Nichole beginning your order. Artwork will be digitally sketched and superimposed onto a picture of your desired piece of wood and can be changed and edited until you are satisfied with the artwork. Full refunds will be accepted until Nichole begins burning your approved digital sketch.
1.7 Personal Data
All information submitted by you for your order will never be shared to or sold to a third party or used for any other means or reasons then inputting the information for delivery purposes or to directly contact you about your order. Lelu Makes respects your privacy.
2. Delivery
2.1 Delivery Locations
Lelu Makes is currently only able to provide shipping to the continental US. We are working on implementing international shipping so please check back soon.
2.2 Cost
Shipping cost is calculated at checkout and is determined by the weight of the order and your delivery location. Shipping cost includes packaging materials, handling, and insurance. Customer is liable for any additional shipping charges due to incorrect address details given when submitting your order.
All orders are shipped from Ventura, California.
2.3 Tracking
All orders are shipped via USPS with tracking unless otherwise agreed between Lelu Makes and the customer to ship with tracking via a different mail courier either prior to ordering or after payment for the order has been received.
All orders include tracking.
2.4 Delivery Times
United States: 3-12 business days
*All orders are shipped from Ventura, California.
2.5 Signature
All original artworks and commissioned artworks will require a signature for delivery. All other items do not require a signature.
2.6 Lost packages
Lelu Makes has no control over and is not responsible for how the postal service handles or delivers your order. Hippie North is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. The customer is responsible to open an investigation with their postal authority.
Please contact info@hippienorth.com to discuss your options for a refund or replacement in the case your order was not delivered by the postal service due to the order being lost in transit.
Lelu Makes is not responsible for returned orders that are lost in transit.
2.7 Damages
If your order shows sign of damage upon delivery due to handling from the postal service it is your responsibility to…
1. for all items (excluding commissioned and original artwork) - report and submit to info@hippienorth.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage for us to review to determine refund and return eligibility as well as re-shipment of new product.
2. for original and commissioned artwork - inspect for damages to the artwork before signing for the package upon delivery. All original and commissioned artwork will require a signature upon delivery. Do not refuse delivery but ensure that the driver or postal service notes the artwork was damaged due to mishandling prior to delivery. Then report and submit to info@hippienorth.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage for us to review to determine refund, return, and re-creation eligibility.
Lelu Makes is not responsible for returned orders that are damaged in transit.
3. Returns and Refunds
3.1 Final sale
All sales are final. Contact info@hippienorth.com to initiate a refund, return and/or replacement of your order. Returns and replacements are not available for custom made artwork.
3.2 Return shipping
The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping to return an order that is eligible for return, refund and/or replacement. Once your order is received by Lelu Makes with no damages upon inspection if returning the item(s) in new condition, you will receive a full refund or replacement if that was initially agreed upon before shipping the order back to Lelu Makes.
3.3 Policies per item
Commissioned Art: Refunds, returns, and replacements are not available for commissioned and custom artwork due to unsatisfaction. Nichole will send a series of high-quality photos for you to inspect and approve before mailing your artwork. A design fee will be subtracted from the refund of canceled orders. It is the customers responsibility to inspect for damages to the artwork prior to signing for the delivery of the package. Do not refuse delivery if there is damage and ensure that the driver or postal service notes the artwork was damaged due to mishandling prior to or upon delivery. Then report and submit to info@hippienorth.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage within 48 hours of delivery for us to review to determine refund, return, and re-creation eligibility.
Original Art: Refunds, returns, and replacements are not available for original artwork due to unsatisfaction. Lelu Makes uses high-quality photos for you to inspect and approve online in the shop before purchasing an original art piece. It is the customers responsibility to inspect for damages to the artwork prior to signing for the delivery of the package. Do not refuse delivery if there is damage and ensure that the driver or postal service notes the artwork was damaged due to mishandling prior to or upon delivery. Then report and submit to info@hippienorth.com your order number and photographic proof of the damage within 48 hours of delivery for us to review to determine refund, return, and re-creation eligibility.
*No refunds, returns or replacements are available to items that are damaged due to customer’s mishandling of the item or artwork.
4. Product Care
4.1 Care instructions
All pieces are finished with a sealant to protect them from yellowing, cracking, and fading. However, each piece is made by hand and is NOT indicated for use as a hot plate, trivet, etc. unless specifically marked.
All spoons, cutting boards and charcuterie boards are oiled with a food safe mineral oil. Recommended re-oiling 1x yearly or if you notice drying.
All original and commissioned artwork will include art care and installment instructions to preserve the artwork’s integrity and eliminate the risk for damages.
4.2 Damages
Lelu Makes is not responsible for damages to items and artwork caused by the customer’s mishandling. No refunds, returns or replacements are available to items and artwork that are damaged due to the customer’s mishandling. This includes and is not limited to damaging an item or artwork due to…
· dropping or scratching the item or artwork
· spilling food or liquid onto the item or artwork
· fingerprint marks on the wood and artwork
· fading of the artwork due to prolonged UV exposure
· or the item or artwork was stolen or lost under your ownership
5. Copyright
5.1 Agreement
No original artwork or commissioned artwork shall be copied, reproduced, modified, uploaded, posted, reprinted, or distributed in any way without the prior written permission of Nichole Luther.
I (Nichole Luther) retain the rights to all images and designs. Custom designs may be duplicated/reused by myself (the artist) in other pieces.
Duplication of any images or designs by the buyer or anyone else is strictly prohibited.
