Daisy Inspired Floral Spice Jar with Spoon and Leather Wrapping
This little boho spice jar is great for holding your herbs, spices or even your tiny trinkets. I have hand burned a beautiful floral daisy and leaf design on the lid and spoon and coordinated them to match each other. The daisy and leaf designs on both are quite intricate and include tiny details that add depth to the design. A bouquet of daisies and leaves have been burned onto the bamboo lid. Daisies and leaves have also been burned onto the bowl of the spoon and along the handle with painstakingly tiny details. The lid and spoon of this gorgeous spice jar have been wood burned by hand and left in the natural burned state with no color added. Both the lid and spoon have been coated with three layers of polyurethane to help protect from moisture and preserve the burned design. While the wood portions have been coated with polyurethane it is still recommended that they are not soaked in water but wiped clean with a damp cloth instead. I have wrapped the mouth of the jar with dark brown leather cording. Using my hand drill I drilled a hole at the end of the spoon handle and attached a golden chain linking the jar and spoon together to prevent loss of the spoon.
The jar measures 2.8in/7.2cm tall and 2.1in/6.1cm wide.
The spoon measures 3.25in/8.4cm in length and .9in/2.4cm wide.
The chain is 3.75in/9.8cm in length.
