“Flowers in her Hair” Wall Hanging - *Deeply Discounted*
“She wore flowers in her hair and carried magic in her eyes”
At least that is what the quote is supposed to be… there are two “r”s in the word carried. I didn’t notice the mistake until I went to add this listing to my website. *facepalm Don’t laugh! I can hear your giggles through the screen. ;)
Well, guess what?! You can snag this piece for a deeply discounted price because of the mistake I’ve made. You’ll just have to use your imagination for that second “r.”
This simple wall hanging features a white skeletal hand holding a red/orange poppy that is framed by the quote above. The outlines and lettering have been burned by hand and the poppy has been painted with shades of red, orange and green. The wood slice I’ve chosen for this piece still has its live edge bark and colorful lichen attached. The entire piece has been coated with two layers of polyurethane to protect the burn and paint for years to come. There is picture hanging hardware on the back of the piece for ease of hanging.
This piece measures approximately 5in/13cm round and is almost 1in/2.3cm thick.
It took me 4 hours to sand, sketch, burn, sand again, paint, seal and attach hardware to this piece.
